Taj Indian Restaurant

Profile

Taj Indian Restaurant is an Indian restaurant nestled in the east district located near the Fuxing Breeze Center. They provide traditional north Indian cuisine in many different levels of set meals. The curries here are not as pungent, aromatic, and spicy has the south Indian cuisine. This place would be fitting for a consumer that likes lighter curries and can not accept the regular stronger spices commonly associated with Indian Cuisine.

Gin Curry 銀咖哩

Profile
Gin Curry is a Japanese Style Pork Cutlet Curry restaurant situated in the NTU front entrance area in Gong Guan. They sell economical curry sets of varying fried entrees. Most of the set meals are priced around 125 NT, and the most expensive item is their monstrous Mt Fuji Curry Set that goes for 290 NT.  This location can get really packed and the food is not really worth the wait. This would be a nice place for a quick Japanese style curry excursion off peak hours.

Dazzling Thai Cafe

Profile

Dazzling Thai Cafe is a spin-off from the popular Dazzling Cafe Restaurants, but they serve Thai food instead of general "western" food minus the honey toast. They still offer a selection of their popular well concocted drinks. You will generally spend about 500 NT a person to eat here, as their entrees are around 280 NT each. If you are lucky you can get their two person meal set that rings in at 980 NT, but I do not recommend it because the food is not that amazing. This place offers average "modern thai" food that is neither amazing or disgusting. The decor and service is unmistakably dazzling.

Indian Curry House offers curry set meals at the price of round 200 NT. It is located near NTU in the busy restaurant area across the street from the front gate. There are all sorts of types of curry and ingredients. Each meal comes with two vegetable sides and a drink of choice. I would not recommend eating here because it was not the most pleasant curry, but not the worst either.

Review
At the Hankyu Department store foodcourt, there is a cafe looking restaurant called Tokyo Curry Espresso. I am not sure why they don't just call themselves Tokyo Curry, since most people don't seem to be there for the coffee. They serve a basic beef curry or chicken curry for around 110 NT, and you can add side items for around 50 NT or toppings for 10 NT. They have a wide assortment of drinks available from sodas to beer. This is a nice spot for a quick curry meal.
