The NTU rear entrance area is known for restaurants that are catered toward students. Generally, the restaurants here are affordable (average meal is 100 NT per person) and with sizeable portions. This is what the Taiwanese refer to as 俗閣大碗. If you are looking for something of average to below average quality, desiring to go easy on your wallets, and filling up your tummy, then this rear entrance area will be a wonderland for you. There are a couple nicer pricier restaurants in this area, but the closer you are to the NTU campus the cheaper it generally is.
Map of the Rear Entrance Area:
I have not done much blogging about the restaurants located here, but this is the area I eat at most often because of its close proximity to the Engineering Department Area. I eat here at least 20 times a week, yet somehow I was not compelled to blog about it thoroughly. I will fill this page up with more restaurants. Off the top of my head, the notable restaurants are 15 Pizzeria Napoletana, Bele'm, and Sababa. There are also very good local eats like dumplings, beef noodle soup, tea pork noodle soup, and yunnan cuisine.
