Review

Sergeant Chicken Rice is a booth located in the Fu Shing Sogo B1 Food Court. They serve a simple combination meals that include rice, soup, boiled vegetables, and a entree of your choice. The price for the combos are around 150 NT each, and their signature dish is the Hainan Chicken Rice. This is a cheap and fast option for a rice based meal at the Sogo B1 food court.
Since decor and service really does not apply so much at a food court, I just normalized it to 3's, and focused on the food. The rice they serve is not standard sticky rice, but some sort of longer grain non-sticky jasminy rice that may be primarily eaten in singapore. The chicken was moist, tender, and flavored with a bit of salt. You can dip it in the hot sauce or garlic sauce for more flavor. The vegetables were boiled chinese brocoli topped with thick soy sauce. The soup was a dismissable chicken broth with cabbage in it. The meal was average, its not a very cheap meal, since it was 150 NT, but avoiding the rain at a food court is worth the extra 50 NT. This place gets a 3.5 out of 5, and it would be really hard for any food court booth to achieve more than a 4.
