NTU Main Entrance Area Restaurants

The NTU Main Entrance Area is loosely defined to be the area across the street from the Front Entrance of the NTU Campus. This area stretches across to the NTU dorms to the west, down to the Wall near and as far north to the He Ping and Roosevelt intersection. This is an area that is the most bustling of all the areas around the campus. This is due to its proximity to two MRT Stations (Gong Guan and Taipower Station) and the natural businesses that have boomed around them. As a student living in the NTU Shui Yuan BOT dorms, this is another area of NTU that I frequent often. There is more variety in this area, and the restaurants range from very cheap to fairly expensive.

My favorite places to eat based on proximity are the Tao Yuan Street Beef Noodles, Blue Family's Traditional Taiwanese Snacks, and Second Floor Cafe. This area is also notable for its late night eats. They have a street lined with hot pot places that close late (3 a.m.), a 24 hour Yoshinoya, and a 24 hour noodle shop. Also, this area is blessed with the Gong Guan nightmarket which is closed kind of late (12 am). I chose to live in the Shui Yuan Dorms over the Chang Xing Dorms for the very reason that this area is much more vibrant and offer a much more variety in terms of food.
