Review

In the northwestern back alley area of NTU lies a novelty pizza restaurant that is famous for their eccentric Pizza creations like Ginger Superman, Korean Kimchi, and Apple Cinnamon. Seating is extremely limited at the store, and they only accomodate around 8 people dining in at a time, so most of their orders are take-out. However, I feel that the pizza is best when it is eating straight out of the oven, so you should insist on waiting to be seated before you order. The cheese began to solidify very soon after it was plopped in front of me, so I can't imagine how one would enjoy this pizza after even 5 minutes to another location. I would recommend this place for the person who wants to try wierd items. The Ginger Superman should be tried once in a lifetime. I will need to return and try Apple Cinnamon, and maybe Banana Almond.
They had a very uncomfortable bar top seating for their customers, which prompts you to leave quickly so that you can make room for the next person. My ass was really getting sore after 5 minutes. But from one end, you can get a good view of the whole pizza making process. I give them props for an even more authentic looking brick oven for their pizza making. Napoletana had a pseudo one, and this one may be closer to a brick oven. These workers are busy non stop, and get orders almost continuously around dinner time. I rate their service higher because of their ability to churn out pizzas efficiently, but their decor is normalized to 3 because even though their shack has it's heartwarming qualities to it, the log bench was very uncomfortable and not tailored to the consumer at all. Next time, I might even consider eating at the park across the street, but I didn't feel like warding off stray dogs.
This is probably the most uniquely Taiwanese pizza I have ever encountered. This one is called the Ginger Superman, and its topped with strands of ginger, corn bits, salty duck egg, and a generous amount of cheese. I still don't know how to feel about this pizza. The ginger was not very overpowering, and it came out to be just a faint hint of it. The salty duck eggs were not so bad a topping, and the corn was just a little added crunch here and there, because they did not give a lot of it.
The cheese was surprisingly dense and stretchy for a 120 NT pizza. I am sure their other items may be better than Mary Jane, but the downside is that the meatlovers out there will be disappointed by the absence of meat on all their pizzas.  I will post more pizzas as I try them in the future. I would definitely mark this place as a unique Taiwanese restaurant that visitors should try.

I think So Free is a bargain compared to other places, as noted probably because of the lack of overhead... All their pizzas are vegetarian. I want to try the potato one... And maybe the kimchi or apple one.
